About the conference

The Manitoba Association of Volunteer Administrators (MAVA) and the Volunteer Management Professionals of Canada (VMPC) are pleased to bring you the National Conference for Volunteer Management Professionals.

Taking place in Winnipeg, Manitoba, from May 30th to June 1st, this conference is the premier professional development event for volunteer management professionals in Canada. Over the course of 3 days, you will have an opportunity to connect with colleagues from across the country and gain new ideas and inspiration to help you transform your volunteer programs!

Conference Rates

Early-Bird (applicable until April 30, 2018)

Full Conference member rate is $350.00 (must be a member of MAVA or VMPC)
Full Conference non-member rate is $425.00

  • Registration includes a sector tour, entrance to the Welcome Reception at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights and two full days of learning.

One-Day member rate is $150.00 (must be a member of MAVA or VMPC)
One-Day non-member rate is $225.00

  • Registration includes one day of sessions, either Thursday, May 31st or Friday, June 1st, 2018

Welcome Reception at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights - May 30 | 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm

  • One ticket to the welcome reception on May 30 is included in the rate for the full conference.
  • Individuals can purchase additional tickets for a guest (colleague, supervisor, partner) or to add to the One-Day conference rate. Tickets are $50.00.

Shahina Siddiqui is the founder and Executive Director of the Islamic Social Services Association based in Winnipeg, a role she has had since 1999. She also founded the Canadian Muslim Women's Institute and is one of the founding members of Canadian Muslim Leadership Institute. She is also the Chair of Islamic History Month Canada.
